The Sarasota-Manatee Bach Festival launches a new season with the first of a three-concert series — "A Baroque Christmas." Artistic co-director Dr. Richard Benedum will give a pre-concert talk beginning at 7:15 p.m., discussing the works to be performed and giving insights into the music of Bach — arguably the world's finest church musician and a prolific composer whose work is rich with intellectual depth and emotional inspiration.
