Christian Bale (born Jan. 30, 1974 in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, Wales, UK) is an actor. Bale is currently one of the most in-demand actors, starring in many big budget films over the past few years.
Bale made his professional acting debut in Steven Spielberg's "Empire of the Sun" in 1987. Bale had co-starring roles in some films as a teenager, including "Newsies" and "Little Women." However, he really established himself as a lead actor in 2000. He played Patrick Bateman in "American Psycho" and the villain, Walter Wade, Jr. in "Shaft" with Samuel L. Jackson.
After 2000 Bale begin starring as the lead role in a plethora of films including "Equilibrium," "The Machinist," "Batman Begins," "The Prestige," "3:10 to Yuma," "The Dark Knight," and "Terminator: Salvation." Although not directly awarded any Grammy® Awards, he's starred in many films that have garnered the honors.
