“Research and Clinical Work in Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Disorders”
The presentation will describe the work of the Rosekamp team to develop and evaluate the consequences of mild Traumatic Brain Injury (mTBI). Our team has developed a model for the mTBI condition that demonstrates the dramatic role of neuroinflammation which, once sustained, persists throughout life and can have major negative impacts. Our platforms have led to the identification of several possible new therapies and also the identification of lifestyle changes that can influence the severity of neurological conditions caused by mTBI. “Is My Forgetfulness Normal?” Dr. Brandi will discuss signs of normal aging, and signs of potential concern. She will also review the early signs and symptoms of memory disorders.
