The Flick

Play, Comedy/Drama
In a run-down movie theater in central Massachusetts, three underpaid employees mop the floors and attend to one of the last 35-millimeter film projectors in the state. Their tiny battles and not-so-tiny heartbreaks play out in the empty aisles, becoming more gripping than the lackluster, second-run movies on screen. The 2013 play won multiple major awards, including an Obie and a Pulitzer. This production is directed by the highly regarded Bay Area director Summer Bohnenkamp.

The Naked Magicians

Magic
Direct from Australia, the show features magic, mirth and more than a touch of mayhem as these two hot and hilarious magicians say "abracadabra" and take magic to a whole new level. Left without sleeves or pockets, their saucy magic is baffling and entertaining, bringing a new meaning to "now you see it." This boisterous R-rated magic show strips away the top hats and capes, promising full frontal illusions. Good magicians don't need sleeves and great magicians don't need pants. This show proves just that.

Michael McDermott

Folk, Rock, Acoustic
Michael McDermott plays catchy, rootsy folk-rock music. After troubles with various bands, the Chicago native chose the solo route. He watched and performed with many folksingers, which led him to incorporate Irish music into his sound. He landed a contract with SBK. In 1991, and released his debut, "620 W. Surf." By 1993, "Gethsemane" showed a move away from the coffeehouse and closer to rock. The novelist Stephen King became one of his biggest fans. But around the age of 24, addictions knocked him off the public radar. Eventually he married, became a father and formed a new folk-ish band called The Westies. In 2016 he released a new solo album, "Willow Springs."
